Reading a fee window without chasing every dip

A fee window is not the absolute lowest minute on a chart. For desktop planning we care about a stretch of time long enough to open the wallet, re-check the route, and submit without panic.

What we mark on a brief

1. A primary window tied to typical quiet hours for that chain
2. A backup window if the primary collapses
3. Invalidation notes — events or congestion levels that mean “wait”

What clients often get wrong

Chasing a thirty-second dip while the rest of the checklist is unfinished. By the time the wallet UI is ready, the dip is gone and the rushed submit costs more than waiting for the backup window.

Practical habit

Write the window on paper or in a text file beside the keyboard. If you miss it, use the backup — do not invent a third attempt based on hope alone.
